Elves in Fantasy have a rich culture dating back to the Five.[]

The Age of the Five[]

The Five are beings of Light that traverse the cosmos and planes of existence, shaping worlds and the inhabitants within them. The Age of the Five is dominated by the search for relics that will make each Fantasy race as powerful as The Five.

The Jewel of the Sea[]

In the time of Arthur and the Five Jeweled Crown, the Jewel of the Sea and the Leader of Mooncrescent was Nymphaea Lacus, the Perilune. It was her duty to watch over the people of Mooncrescent and to ensure their happiness.

Elven Tides[]

The Elves are based in Mooncrescent, a city by the sea whose waters are controlled by the moon. Like the tides of the waters, Elves also experience tides. Elves in High Tide are at their happiest and healthiest. Elves in Low Tide can be sad or weak. Typically, Elves in High Tide take pleasure in helping those in Low be as comfortable and happy as they can be.

Elven Culture[]

Elves pick their own last name when they set out on their own as a reflection of where they are going in life. They are given a second name when they are ready to embark on their journey. The Elves live in an oligarchical society; a society with a less clearly visible apex than a monarchy or theocracy. They have formal councils and noble houses and a merchant class. Elves are constantly on the quest for knowledge and those who have made the largest contributions to society have earned the distinction of being called High Elves. In Elven culture you get rewarded for what you contribute.

There is an entire industry of acquiring information in Moon Crescent. Noble houses hire detectives known as Knights, to obtain the secrets of the other houses, and to protect their own.
